Sarah May is a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for crafting unforgettable experiences. What started in 2018 as a simple addition to her wedding planning business quickly became something much bigger—creating immersive, high-end photo booth experiences that bring people together in the most meaningful way.
From boutique beginnings to a trusted brand serving 300-500 clients annually, Desert Luna has become the go-to for luxury events and brand activations. Known for innovation, creativity, and seamless guest experiences, Sarah has worked with top-tier brands, celebrities, and industry leaders, setting a new standard in the photo booth world.
With a background in Business & Marketing, Sarah has propelled Desert Luna into a powerhouse, leading global partnerships, pop-ups, and brand sponsorships. She believes luxury should be approachable, and every event—big or small—deserves an elevated touch.

Our Glow-Up Story

Started Desert Luna with zero idea what we were doing—but hey, we booked four events before even owning a photo booth (talk about manifesting)! Pricing? Clueless. Confidence? Off the charts. We had to start somewhere!
2018 – The Wild Start
Teamed up with Katie Hoss, and life was never the same. Got featured in Inspired by This, (you can read the article here) which landed us incredible clients. Oh, and we casually booked 100 events in our first year. No big deal.
2019 – The Year of Game-Changing Connections
Sarah met Kaytee Lauren on Instagram (where all great business friendships start) and decided to launch The Creative Photo Booth Podcast. Talking shop, spilling tea, and creating a community—check, check, and check.
Late 2019 – Instagram Friendships FTW
Partnered with Everybooth and launched a backdrop collection for the photo booth community nationwide. Then… well, you know what happened in 2020. But we pivoted, stayed creative, and came back stronger.
2020 – Big Moves & Bigger… Well, You Know
Events? Packed. Booked. Overflowing. We built a powerhouse team, made a name for ourselves, and scaled up to rock 300-500 events a year. From dreamy weddings to high-energy brand activations, we didn’t just show up—we delivered.
And the industry took notice. We've been featured in Vogue, Brides, Green Wedding Shoes, Palm Springs Life, The Knot, 100 Layer Cake & many more…even on a TV show—because when it comes to capturing memories, we do it like pros.
2021 – The Boom Era💥
Sarah expanded to Los Angeles, diving into the world of brands, artists, creatives, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs. New city, same mission—building relationships and elevating experiences.
2024 – The Leap to LA
Launched our first Not Another Selfie pop-up in Venice, CA—the first of many. Spreading joy, connection, and unforgettable moments, one photo at a time with a photo booth pop-up & dance party! Want to partner with us!? Reach out!
